Death certificate for USA

I've just found what I believe is the twin of my grandfather. He was born in 1890 in Michigan USA. I know the birth wasn't registered because I have a letter dated 1905 from the midwife who delivered him. From the 1911 census I saw that my gt grandparents had 2 children so checked on Family search and found what I believed was the other child. When I looked closer, she has the same date of birth and was born in the same place. Obviously she died but I wonder if and how I would go about getting a death certificate just to be sure.

Thanks
Maisy

Thanks for your reply. I'll have a look at that and see what I need to do.
