Help on death certificates

Trying to find the death certificates on Sarah Jane and Herbert Sutcliffe. They got married 12th November 1904. They both lived at 2 Hartley's Squre on Perseverance Road, Halifax certainly from 1911 onwards. Herbert was 26 when he married and Sarah Jane was 25 (Her DOB 18 Dec 1879).

Any help will be nice

As they most probably died before 1984 when the death records are searchable by name, you would need to narrow down the search years in some way - say if you know they were still alive when one of their children married etc. - otherwise it will be a very long, slow job of searching the death index qtr. by qtr. for every year from 1911 until you find the death.

Checking with the local library on the electoral rolls, if they stayed at the same address, might help you pinpoint a date, although only Herbert's name would be there in the earlier years as Sarah would not have a vote._JLe

One of the deaths on freebmd almost fits with your Sarah Jane Sutcliffe ref 9a 599 June qtr 1913 aged 34. I have known ages to be entered wrongly but it might be worth checking out.-JLe

What was Sarah's maiden name? that will help as we should be able to see any births after 1911 so narrowing down the death for you.
