by looking on previous censuses to get the christian name of the woman, then searching freebmd to see if you can find a marriage


or by finding the birth registration of the children, buying at least one to get the mother's maiden name

I have information on my great grandfather and who he married and had children with, alongside the names of these children. However he had children before this marriage. How do i find out who he had the children with?
