NEW SOUTH WALES RECORDS ?

Hi i wonder if anyone hs accesss to records for new south wales. i have a relative george thomas blood c1871 boothstown lancashire england who emmigrated to canada and us c 1914 and 1919. someone has been kind enough to track this info down but after the 1920 usa census there is no sign of him. i cant find him over here and family memory is that he went to new south wales with his 2nd wife.
this is him on the usa 1920 census if anyone can find him in new south wales or anywhere that would be great we are trying to find out what happenned to him after 1920 and where heis buried.

The NSW BDM is on-line. Has deaths up to 1978. I had a quick look, but only found 1 in 1964 and that name had William in it. Still, it might be worth a look. Qld's BDM is free to view also. Victoria is pay to view.

... you could try the 'National Library of Aus.' (Canberra) - and/or the 'NSW State Library' .....they have an 'Ask a Librarian' service (on-line). They will check their records -including electoral rolls from 1920+. .....Valerie (WA)

Hi Linda,

I have checked the NSW, Victorian and Queensland BSM records for George and there is no record matching his name. Are you sure he would have come to Australia after emigrating to Canada and the first? I would be assuming that that would have been expensive to move between countries like that.

The National Archives of Australia also has no files on George or Sarah.
