Lol Jennifer.

Good on your old Grandad. It's an art that is.

The counties are on, but very busy.

Caz, found my g grandfather at the address on my grandfather's marriage cert but no grandad. He was probably out poaching on the night of the census! He was still 'tickling trout' well into his 70's

Hi,

Jennifer, I thought it probably would be, so it looks like Westmoreland will be too. Could it be that they've mistranscribed your grandfathers name? although I'm sure you have already thought of that. Alternatively he may have nipped up north of the border to Scotland.

Erin, I can't understand why you can't access the two counties. What I did notice this morning though is that Northumberland, Cumberland and Westmoreland are still shown as coming soon in the sites list of the counties available. Don't be fooled by that though. I can assure you Northumberland is definitely available. I've been using it all day and it has cost me a fortune. I found all the info I was hoping to find though so I suppose I can't complain, much, lol. If you are needing to search Northumberland I would definitely give it another try.

Good luck,
Caz

Caz, Cumberland is on line also. Still can't find my elusive grandfather!

Hi,

I don't know if this has been mentioned already but the 1911 census for Northumberland is up and running at last.

I am not sure about the other two English counties that were delayed as I haven't tried those but I expect they will be available too.

Good luck to everyone who like myself have been eagerly awaiting this.
