Can anyone help me find this family on the 1841 census?

Harriet is the illegitimate daughter of Sarah, and also my gt gt grandmother. Sarah's father (Ann's husband) was called Charles, but had obviously died by 1851.

Trying to think outside the box a bit lol

If Sarah called her daughter Harriet, she could have named her after a sister? found this Sarah and Harriet on 1841, not with family...maybe relatives

Do you reckon this could be Weller rather than Welles?? Theres a possible sister called Jane. Cant see a Sarah Welles on other census that place and dob.

Thanks very much Rambling Rose and Heather - that's given me a bit more to go on!

I have got the birth for Harriet for 1851 - I assume it is the right one as it seems to be the only one for 1851 for Hampton Wick. Often wondered whether Nott was the father's name as Harriet was illegitimate. Probably never be able to prove that one.

I hadn't seen that census for Sarah Welles for 1841, but it certainly seems a possibility. No, Sarah didn't marry. She actually died quite young at around the age of 39. Died of a heart attack on Horsefair, Kingston, which I think is the road that runs alongside the bridge there. Quite sad really........I managed to locate her death cert which says she is the daughter of Charles Weller, a watch and clockmaker, but I've never managed to find anything on him.

Anyway, many thanks for this. It's given me that extra push to go back to my own tree rather than nosying around everybody elses!
