The local family history society for the area you are interested in is probably the best bet, most societies have local PR's transcribed and put onto a CD that you can buy. |

The Lancashire Online Parish Clerks project has a lot of parish records online (google "lan-opc" for the adress), and there are others, e.g. the sussex weald. |

There aren't many sites that have comprehensive coverage of parish records unfortunately. |

I have had a membership to ancestry and found it great for BMD and Census records but am now to the point when i need parish records and of course Ancestry hasn't got many at the moment. |
