This might be a silly question but can anybody tell me what it means when there is a letter 'a' after a birth entry. I have an Edith Diana (Dina) Collins b December 1905 Warwick. after the gro no. there is this letter. Does this mean she was a twin? If so, how do I find out which is the other one? Can Anybody please help.
Thank you
Dawn

Hi Dawn,

It's not due to the fact she was a twin, a twin would have been registered at the same time and have possible page numbers the same.

I would think it means they stuffed up numbering the pages, and the second page 123 they found, they numbered 123a (or whatever).
