I just cant seem to find marriage of my Dads sister...
Or even her death...
I found her birth...1914
I know her married name, but no idea when she married..
I know she married after having children to another partner
sorry this all sounds a pickle but cant put all details on here
Thanks

You'll need to check every qtr. of every year for her name as she will have married after the time that FreeBMD is transcribed up to.

What is her name and whereabouts in the country do you think she was likely to have married?

Hi Kathleen,
Her name is
Sarah Lowther..I dont know what age she married..
Her married name would be Broughton.
Sarah was born in Durham and I know she died there..
I am very new to ancestry and have found a few family details but I cant find Sarahs.

There are two possible children both in Durham
1945 jun qtr and 1950.
So the marriage should be 1944 or earlier.

Just noticed Jim that you have found Septimus details..I did find these as I went for the most unusual name first...
But I cant find Sarahs death details...
I remember the news that she had died but I was only young and cant remember the year.

How did I find?
Found two children with correct parents.
Went to "complete marriage images"
s lowther 1944 and it was in the first qtr that I looked at.
Found husband with same references.

For marriages between 1916 – 1983 you will need to use the Marriage Indexes. Your search result will show the first and last result on the relevant page (image). Once you’ve opened the image you can then scroll down and look for your ancestor yourself on the page.
