Can I just make a suggestion to anyone who takes up the offer of a parish register look up...to please be a little more specific with the area. for instance:-

West Ham as an area is far too little information. Comeing from that area myself I know there are simply dozens of churches that come under that heading.

Christ Church, St. Lukes, St. Matthews if you can name the church, if not the area within West Ham.......Canning Town, Victoria Dock, Silvertown.....This will narrow things down a great deal and allow the person doing the look ups to get through a few more requests.
