I ordered 4 certificates yesterday (15th April 2009).

Estimated despatch date (it is computer generated) from the GRO is 21st April.
The Public Holidays of Good Friday and Easter Monday plus the weekend days puts them about 4 days behind schedule.

on line requests for certificates are taken even when they are closed.

I just looked up my receipt and I see it is only 9 days but seems much longer.
