Hello again you two, that sounds right to me as my gt gt. is down on census records as a "nut and bolt forger". I shall make a note of the site you mention Jonesey for any future strange occupations I come accross. Brilliant finding out this weird and wonderful info from you good folk,

I have found the occupation on both a marriage and birth certificate of an ancestor of mine to be an OLIVERMAN, or at least that's what it looks like on both of them, anyone any clues to what that might have been? Much head scratching going on.
