Hi, im trying to find William Hartnup b1845 Surrey,

William married Eliza Gillis at Gravesend on 8 Apr 1866 he was a private in the Royal Engineers,

I have william in 1871 census as a Tailor living at 13 Rope Walk Gravesend with wife Eliza & daughter,

Also 1891 census still a Tailor living at 29 nine elms grove Gravesend with wife Eliza & daughter,

1881 census shows wife Eliza Hartnup as head a Tailor's wife livng with daughter at 13 Rope Walk Gravesend, but i cant seem to find William between these two census,

any ideas?

This is the uncle from 1851 the females are Hartnup,I think.

it could well be the uncle, as William has got Joseph down as the father on his marriage cert, but i cant find a Joseph as his father, think he might of be illegitimate & used his uncles name as father on the cert,
