Yes..I noticed that too. Photos I had on there that were previously o.k. now have heads cropped, or in one case missing altogether

I would be very interested in hearing what GR say in response to your email

Hi, I have also noticed that photos that were previously OK are now cropped. In most cases the original on the PC is smaller than the photo now shown on the site. It looks like the photo on the site has been expanded too much. I've submitted a feedback query and am awaiting a response.

just a thought about the photos- when I scan mine, for example, when I want just one person off a wedding group I scan the whole picture firstly. I then crop the photo in the same proportion as the photo space on gr. On my computer because of the size of my monitor screen, the photo is 5 cm x7cm. If the photo is then cropped in the same ratio and click on 'Apply' I think that will resolve your problem. I am not really too good on the computer but somehow I have managed to put lots of photos on without any problem.-JLe

I must experiment some time scanning a photo at different resolutions and cropping it in different ways and then put them on the GR photos page and see what happens.

Perhaps you could crop it in the other direction so just the man shows?
I dont know why GR has to set such a low size for photos.

Have cropped the photo several times. One takes his head of completely the other just shows the eyes of the lad in my photo and if i crop any more photo of there will be nothing left. Think GR need to sort out the photo side, never had this probelm with same photo on any other site. Was going to ask if anyone recognises the man in the photo, but as all you can see is his chin, might be a bit tricky lol. Never laughed so much.

Remember, it is not the original photo you doctor, just the image which you have scanned onto your computer.

I also had that problem several months ago. I finished up doctoring the photo (digitally) by chopping off the lower half.
Unfortunately GR have a very low limit on the number of dpi (I think it is) that you can put on for a photo. Can you crop the photo at all?

Just added a photo to the genes photo site and it has chopped the head off. I have noticed it with several of other peoples pictures. I can't resize it any smaller, don't have a problem with the same photo anywhere else to put it on. What can i do. Help needed please. thanks
