Perhaps the marriage and birth was in Scotland?

Nancy Allen parents was BenjaminStanley Durham Allen and Mary Humble nee (not sure ) born Smith but when her mother married she took the name THOMSON.
I have the death certs for Ben and Mary.
My cousin June was born 1940 and she said Nancy was abt 10 years older than her.
Nancy married a couple of years after her parents died so say about 1957/1958. My cousin is not sure what her married name was.
Also she was from the Portsmouth area. BUT not sure if she was born in
Portsmouth. Mary was born in Scotland 1897. I know about her. I am trying to find her marriage to Ben and about her daughter Nancy.
Mary was my father's half sister.

Does that explain a bit better???

Was Benjamin's death in JFM 1956?

If so, he had two other forenames, with initals S D.........and was born c1900/1

There's a death for a Benjamin S D Allen 55 in Portsmouth.

Why the doubt over Mary's surname?

Where was Benjamin born? When was he born?

Trying to trace family.
Nancy Allen---her parents Benjamin Stanley Durham Allen and Mary Humble Smith/Thomson.
According to family she was 10 years older than them making her birth date 1930, unsure where born. Looked and looked for birth. Can't find her parents marriage. Her parents died 1956 in gas posioning. Portsmouth. Nancy married a couple of years after her parents died.
I believe she had a couple of children. Nancy must be in her late 78. I have looked and looked, on find my past...ancestry site can't find anything.Does your head in, in the end.
Can't someone help me????
