Genealogy Chat

Call me an old cynic but why post one on tips? If you are an unpaid member considering joining your probably only looking at the tips and record office boards (It is a genealogy site after all)

Therefore GR could put off potential PAID members if they publicised every time the system goes t**s up

Give them a little time to analyse what went wrong, whose fault it was, and what to do about preventing a re-occurrence.

There are now apologies on a few of the boards.

I also believe they are still working on the problem because there are a few little oddments to be fixed.

Margaret there is an apology on the General board and the Chat board but not on here there should have been one on the top of every board as well as on the Home Page, also if it is a virus or anything something should be said about it ;;

I agree, Babs. As someone who never uses either the chat board or general, I have not seen an apology, yet I was greatly inconvenienced by the disruption.

Proves still gremlins loose in there doesnt it ;;

Ahhhhh, I see they are listening!!!!! - WELL POSSIBLY NOT. Just after my last post an apology appeared on the Tips Board and now it has disappeared.

I agree that the apology should be on every board - especially the Records, Tips and Trying to Find, as this is supposed to be a genealogy site. How long can it take to add to same brief apology to each board???
