I have recently found out that my grand father died "an undischarged bankruptee" ... in 1966. Where would I look for that information? I am assuming it would be in a newspaper somewhere but which one - is there a national paper eg London Gazettee etc. He died in Margate 1966 and in letters we have discovered, his ladyfriend talks of him being bankrupt when he died ...

Not quite sure what "undischarged" actually means in bankuptcy.

Undischarged bankrupt:-

A person who has not been granted his discharge or formal permission to resume business dealings. An undischarged bankrupt cannot seek credit over the sum of £50 without disclosing his position to his creditor, and he may not be a director of a company or engage in business under another name.
