Do you know the name of the father on the marriage certificates of William and Ezra? Maybe they found out later that they had a different father, but were brought up by Robert Jones.

Just to make sure we have the correct family - was your great grandmother Sephorah Jones, born 1872 in Caernavon? Parents Robert and Margaret?

Roseanne has confirmed by pm that this is the correct family. Still needing help.

My GG grandmother was a Jones before she married a Robert Jones in LLandudno north wales in 1871 , on their marriage cert her witness was a Catherine Brookes, her daughter my G grandmother married a George Brookes in 1894, on all the Cencuses for my GG grandmothers family to 1901 they are Jonses , even on the birth certificates of her children but the mystery is that one of her sons died in 1900 and on his death cert and on his gravestone he is named as Brookes-Jones, also his brother who married in 1905 has married as a Brookes Jones and named his children Brookes Jonses . Because of a witness at the wedding being a Brookes and my g gmother marrying a Brookes i think theres a connection somewhere in the family but struggling to find it ! any suggestions . thanks
