I am not a subscriber to Ancestry and wonder if there is a free site on which I can obtain Parish Records. I am looking for the birth of my great-grandfather Thomas Edwards born c1833 -1839 in Bodmin, Cornwall. His father may have been William Edwards (Boatswaiin). He married Emma Hawkins c1863. Other than this I know very little about his life before then. Many thanks to anyone who can point me in the right direction.

If you purchase his marriage cert. it will give father's name and occupation, which help you to trace further back.
