Some areas have a closure time on school records, but this policy varies alot from place to place. We were not able to view primary school records at a local archive for a child born 1918 because there is a closure on that log until 70 years after the last entry.
For other areas I have had help direct from a village school who gave me information about a relative who attended in early 1940s.

Old electoral rolls are searchable by address only, not by name. They are not online and are usually held at the main library or records office for the area in question.

School records, if they exist, will either be still with the school or possibly lodged at the records office.
