No place of birth given for any of them.

If you send a pm( direct message) with your e mail address, I can send the page image which shows siblings of George Malcolm too.if you'd like extra info.

Glad to be of help.

Gywn,

Thank you so much, my Grandfather was right - Charles was his Uncle, so he was in fact cousin with George, we were all thinking that he had it wrong. Opps!

Did it say where Charles was born - I think it should be Westminster London.

Thank you once again, you've made my night!

Gwyn,

Could you let me know which site you went to, I have tried Google but was mainly pointed to sites with cricket stats.

This is great, thank you.

A browse on Google says he grew up in India, the son of a Scots Guard.
A daughter of George, named Gill is mentioned.

Sorry Caroline it just gives date of death & details of his career.

Mr George Emmett, the former Gloucestershire and England cricketer, died on Dec 18th at the age of 64. Emmett made nearly 27,000 runs in first-class cricket in a career that lasted from 1936 - 1959. He played for England against Australia in the 1948 series and in the 1954 won the trophy for the fastest century of the season.

Checked The Times for an obituary, there is one dated 24th Dec 1976 but it doesn't mention anything about his family i'm afraid.

I'm trying find out some information about George Emmett - a cricketer. My grandfather would say that they related (cousins I think), however I'm not sure if this is actually true! But thought I would see what I can find out.

George Malcom Emmett was born in India in 2 Dec 1912 and died in Knowle Somerset 18 Dec 1976. I was hoping to find out details of his parents from an obituary or an annoucement - however I haven't had any joy.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can track down who his family was? I have tried Gloucestershire Cricket Club but they didn't have details.

Thank you for any ideas.....
