They will have books from the start of registration, 1837.

However some districts have merged or boundaries changed, so actual records might be at a different location within that area.

I would have thought they had all the marriages in their area as thats where you can go to order them direct. I have orderd one's from 1908 and got those, if that of any help.... Or phone them they will tell you when there rcords start from.

Does anyone know how long registry offices keep marriage certificates?
