another way is to look at the probate indices to see if they left a will. Some of the details may fit what you already know. It can also be useful as a 'negative' exercise to eliminate possibles in a particular year. |

thats a shame as i wood like to find the death certs for the older ones i have my grandad and grand mothers but thats about it its so hard when they keep using the same names and moving about |

I think the date of birth on the record goes back to the late 1960s, about 1969, but - as Jonesy mentioned - the 1984-2005 deaths are much easier to search. Sometimes you only get a month of birth - it depends how much the imfortant knew. |

i am ok at finding when people are born but its a lot harder to find when and were they died. my name is quite common and their are lots off other familys living in the location is their any tricks that could help |
