Hi wondered if anyone could help me.....

I have a John Barnett born in Ireland 1861, He married an Elizabeth Waddock (b.1863) They had their first child in Ireland 1886. The next 4 were born in East India between 1888 - 1895 according to the 1901 census.

However I cannot find any records of them in East India, or what they were doing over there. I know they came back to Ireland 1897 had another child, before having their last child in Manchester 1900.

Would love some help, I've hit a brick wall!

Have you tried family relatives.com-you can browse overseas births for free-there a number of Barnett births for your time period in the GRO Army indices which if they fit would indicate that John was in the Army
