Just a thought have you tried searching for a birth for a Katherine and Elizabeth Kelly with the same mothers maiden name in the area to see if they were sisters? Not sure if this is possible on Ancestry for the dates but if it is it may be worth a try.

Hi ninjalady,I am looking for my birth mother and have found lots of people with same name on records, but don't know her date of birth. She is Elizabeth Ann Kelly and definatley lived at 47 Canfield Gdns,Hampstead London in 1938on my birth cert, she was a domestic servant (lived in ).Then she left, and on my baptism cert(I was still with her for about 4 weeks after birth) she moved to 6 Gayton cres Hampstead. She had a relative surname Kelly who was my godmother she lived at 12 Lyndhurst gdns Hampstead. Can't read first name, looks like Bacharine ???could be sister, but no-one of that name anywhere on records, could be katherine but not sure really.I would be well away if I had an age in 1938.

Do you mean electoral rolls for 1938 they will most likely be archived in the main library for the area that you are wanting but census are only taken every ten years and the 1911 has only just been released after the 100 year closure period was lifted.

Marian, there is a 100 yr rule on Census returns, so 1920 will be available 2020 and 1930 not till 2030.

You can see electoral rolls, usually at nearest large library.

Unfortunately the census records only go up to 1911 at the moment. And we'll have to wait another 10 years for the 1921 census!!!

Wo are you looking for?? If you post some details we might be able to help.

Hi,how do I get to see census records for around 1938?i have bought credits to search but have no date of birth, just name and address and there are approx 100 people matches.1938 is not the birth year, that could range between 1900 and 1923 and again there are loads.Just a shame I can't view more recent census,I would find out an age at least. Thanks Marian
