THere is a records office in roscommon if you know his name and roughly how old he was when you were born they could do a search for a birth cert over say the space of 10 years. If you get that you will have his parents and you could go for their marriage cert and go back that way. If you want to find him now try the electoral rolls for each year from where you last had an address for him you might strike it lucky. Good Luck My father is in Austrailia and I cant get hold of him either! Regards C

I know that he was born in Cork(?) Southern Ireland, worked in Birmingham in ammunitions factory during WW2, didn't marry my mother - who changed her name to his by deed poll. All I have is his name and address when I was born. Where do I go from here?
Please can anyone point me in the right direction as I am new to this?
