Nothing with the surname Rider and you cant search without a surname on Scots people unfortunetly!

There are 6 potential Elizabeth Quinn births, but i have no way to narrow down which one it could be!
The only Ryder/ Quinn marriage is in 1876 in Glasgow. The wife's name is Mary Ryder though....i think it unlikely that two sisters would have the same name and the marriage is too soon for it to be *my* Mary.

Have you tried spelling it as Rider? Daft but ................... Also, using just her first name and all other deails but leaving the surname blank

That one is a possible, but i cant find a Mary Ann Ryder birth!

Ive found a Mary Ryder, illegitimate child of Sarah Ryder, born 1869 Lanark, Stirling but cant trace her on Census records.

????

Only one Mary Ann Ryder comes up in the census for Scotland.

Have you considered Mary Ann may have been married before, therefore her maiden name was not used for her marriage to Charles?

I assume you have a child's birth cert to have both parents' names.

After searching i cannot find the Marriage of two people (Robert Charles Armstrong and Mary Ann Ryder.)
Without this marriage certificate to identify their fathers, how do i know i've found the right people in previous census records or the correct birth references?
