Just thought i would say,
there was a thread on the tips board a while ago Which i took the advice of.
I have just received my tokens from Tesco which gives me FTM platinum and 6 months free Ancestry, total cost £15.00 in tesco vouchers.
As i have a new pc and Vista,I'm glad to hear i have the right combo.

Thanks for the replies.

Family Tree Maker is actually one that I was considering and it's half price on Amazon at the moment. I think that clinches it - I never could resist a bargain, lol.

Hi Sonya

I use the latest Family Tree Maker on Vista in conjunction with an Ancestry subscription - I love it.

My trusty old workhorse computer has died and I have had to replace it. I am slowly getting to grips with Windows Vista - I am a bit of a dummy - and now I need to buy some Genealogy software compatible with Vista.

There seem to be several products available. Can anyone give me the benefit of their experience before I buy, bearing in mind that I'd prefer something easy to use?

Many thanks,
Sonya
