	If you check sent messages the envelope will be open, rather than closed if its been read. There are many reasons why people maybe slow to reply or not reply at all, although are you sure the email you are getting is from another member and not just the automatically 'family trumps' (think thats what they are called) ones generated by ancestry? In genral the advice seems to be sent a follow up aybe a month after your orginal message, and if they still don't reply then see it as their loss.

Member Since: June 2005 Posts: 8 Send Message	WHY DO PEOPLE THAT YOU SEND E-MAILS FOR MATCHES NOT ANSWER YOU BACK. ISN'T IT RUDE NOT TO REPLY . THEY COULD AT LEAST ANSWER BACK NO RELATION OR YES WE HAVE A MATCH CAN ANYONE HELP ME TO FIND OUT IF THE ORIGINAL E-MAILS HAVE BEEN READ. THANKS
