Received Death Cert for G Grandfather, he died in his local hospital (Edmonton,Middx). He was involved in an accident - he was riding his bicycle and was injured by a car. Can anyone explain why in the "Informant" section it has - "Certificate received from G Cohen, Coroner for the Duchy of Lancaster"? I do not understand why it was not a local coroner, (what has the Coroner for the Duchy of Lancaster got to do with a persons death in Middlesex?. Also an inquest was held - how do you go about getting a copy of that?. This all took place in 1929.
Any help or explanations would be most welcome !!!
Many thanks.

The Duchy of Lancaster also included the London parishes of the Strand, Clapham, Enfield, and Edmonton.
