Hi all - looking for some much needed help, please! I have found a marriage which I think is my Gt Aunt, but i do not know her husbands name to cross reference before ordering the cert. Is there a way of checking/finding a spouses name with the certs references only?

Hi Alice - unfortunately that is the problem - I do not have the husbands surname to cross check - just the references from my Aunts marriage record.

Hi Kath - My gt Aunt is Kate Marie Jarrold, Born 1876 Stepney, marriage 1900, jan feb Mar, Vol 1c Pg 497, Mile End Old Town, HUSBAND's name unknown!!!

On Ancestry you can click on the page number and find the other people on the same page in the marriage index.

You then look for the males in the next census and find the one with the correct spouse's first name.
