Ancestry .com or .co.uk, what s the difference?

The only apparent difference is the front page. The .com site will have the US censi listed for ease of use but these can still be obtained from any Ancestry site provided one has the appropriate membership level.

One important difference is the mapping service which is being trialed on the .com site only at the moment. If you have a family tree on Ancestry and access it via the .com site, all place names are linked to a world map by markers. You can move the markers to the exact point if you know it to say the house where an ancestor lived. By glancing at an ancestors details, you can see all the locations where they lived at a glance.

It's likely this feature will eventually be available on all sites but you can use it now via the .com site.

Anyone know the difference between Ancestry .co.uk and .com or are they the same?
