If you find the record on FreeBMD and click on the page no, it will bring up others on that page.

Thanks Dee. Yes, that's the one, but I can't find any of them on the 1881 census.

Joanne.

Thank you. No, it isn't this marriage.

I have Caroline Spiller with Henry or Frederick Matthews, but can't find a marriage for them. Their children were born in 1878 and 1883, but he had died by the 1891 census.

I can't find them on the 1881 census either.

Thanks again,
Joanne.

Eileen, there is another way if you have ancestry. Look for the two males in census and see if they have a wife Caroline. Their names aren't so common that there will be lots I imagine!
Actually, have given it a go and sure enough there is Edwin Govier with wife Caroline in 1881 census. No Edward Bicknell with wife caroline.
So, Joanne, best bet is Edwin.
If you aren't sure about this marriage, do you at least have a location?

Ther is an entry on free bmd. She married either Edward Bicknell or Edwin Govier. Taunton. You will have to get the Cert to find out which one. Eileen

Thank you. Ooops, sorry. it's Caroline Spiller, but I think she married somebody Matthews. It doesn't appear that this is the correct one. Back to the drawing board!

If you are using Ancestry then you can click on the page number to see the others on the page.

Are you sure of the details you have as I can't find the marriage reference that you give?

Once I have found a marriage record, is there any way that I can see who else is on the same page without knowing their name?

I have Caroline Matthews married o/n/d 1873 volume 5c page 710. Is there a way I can find out who she married?

Thanks,
Joanne.
