If you are a member of the library and have a library card you can access The Times Digital Archive from home.

Found quite a few of my relatives mentioned in the papers on there

please can you give more detail, I've tried going to the Times Digital Archive website but it suggests that searching involves a fee from £4.95 for one day, then monthly and annual options

I couldn't find anything about using a library card - can you let us know ho its done?

thanks

I went onto my local library websire ie Bristol Central Library
It says 24hr Library
Then then were a couple of choices including Ancestry (but this can only be accessed at the library)
I chose The Times Digital Archive. Had to put in three letters (that they tell you to online) followed by my library card number (using my 5 year olds as cant find mine) and now free to search

I don't think it applies to all counties. It doesn't in Kent - or at least it didn't a few months ago when I last tried. Boo hoo.
