Well as far as I know William was the father of George and Albert, George's daughter is still alive all be it she is 90, also her brother died this year. and Emma and Williams marriage with all their children was down in an old family bible. He still must have died !! his 2 daughters Emma and Kate had him deceased on their marriage certificates.

Emma did remarry a Thomas Williams in 1893 and then went to live in Essex.

Do you know for sure that William is the father of George & Albert

My Gt Gran had 2 children that were give her married surname but am pretty much sure her husband wasn't the father

The fact that his wife said she was a widow may not be conclusive - if he left her, she'd probably call herself a widow to save face.

Though the image is a typed one it does have him down as Polley

I am looking for a William Poole whom died between 1889 and 1891 his last know address was in Edmonton in 1889 when he and his wife Emma had there 4th child Albert Walter Poole , they married in 1871 in Haverhill Suffolk. I have him with wife and 2 children living in Edmonton in the 1881 census with 2 girls Emma and Kate. Emma was a widow in the 1891 census and still living in Edmonton his age in the 1881 census is out by 10 years because I have his birth in Haverhill in 1831 father George and mother Maria have then in the 1841 census but he is not be found again except his marriage and the 1881 census thank you

Margaret, do you have anything else about William? I assume the YOB would be around 1830 if you think this may be his death. There are a few William Polleys around, be aware of that.. Do you have place of birth or family names at all?
