Into FMP, Click on Birth deaths and Marriages. Scroll down to deaths, deaths at sea, 1854-1890.

Note that you will be able to do an initial search but to get into the information you will need credits. At least 3 credits. Or you will need a FMP membership.

Click on the word 'search" next t the line deaths at sea.

First box select drop down box and put in your date range. I used deaths 1872 to 1883. Put in family name Burns, fill in other bits which are optional. I put in male, and D in the other box though what that means I sure don't know.

Click search and this is what comes up.

Year range Event Last name First name First name initial Sex

1872-83 Deaths BURNS Male VIEW
1872-83 Deaths BURNS VIEW
1872-83 Deaths BURNS VIEW
1872-83 Deaths BURNS VIEW

Now each time you select view it costs you 3 credits. If you have the correct year, the correct name, in this case you have a 25% chance of getting it right.
