If you go over to Family Tree Forum (free) you can upload the picture to the Photos board for people to help you identify it (you can also have photos restored on there free by other members)

You can usually date it from the background, dress and even the type of mount - by all means I will have a look at it if you would like

Hi all

If I email you a photo taken anywhere between 1880 - 1920 would there be anyone here that has the skills to date it?

i have researched on the web and found that it is probably a 'Carte de Visite' I think thats how you spell it!

Any help really appreciated
