Where are hot matches

The specific name mentioned in the email you have received will not necessarily appear in your HotMatches - as I said the two are unconnected. The HotMatch email just tells you there are some new ones, without mentioning any specific names.

Why not just use the Search Trees function and search for the name concerned - this is where the 'find out more' button, which Linda mentioned, takes you.

Many thanks to Cynthia, BrindleyS, Elizabeth and linda in Herriot Country for your responses. I will try your suggestions when I get another email.

In the meantime will just have to open all the many hotmatches to see if I can find the names they mentioned. Or maybe there's an easier way to find who they match with without having to open them all (very time comsuming) that I'm not aware of. If there is please let me know.
Once again many thanks. Will be away from the computer for a few hours but please leave any info and I will check it out this p.m.
Thanks Gaye.

The message you have received does not refer to Hot Matches, the email you get telling you you have new Hotmatches doesn't specify any names.

GR do occasionally send separate emails about possible matches for a specific name, and this is what you are likely to have received. Unfortunately when I check I often find that we have already been in contact - it is a pity that GR's program doesn't check this first, before generating the message.

In the original email, there is a button at the bottom which says find out more, if you click on that, it opens a window on GR which lets you send a message to the person

received email saying there's a match for a rellie, but when I go to my hot matches there are heaps of people with hot matches. How do I find the specific one that was mentioned in the email.
Thanks Gaye
