Hi Colin

Well I have searched and searched even looked at all the pubs in Staffs and cannot find him although it usually only lists the Licencee by the pub.

So sorry but I believe there is a Victulars society that has records I'm sure I saw it on here a few years ago maybe you could Google.

Any ideas of where I can look for a publican? All I have is his name and a rough idea of where he may have lived
