Matthew and Jane Elwood who had my great great grandfather Francis Edward Elwood baptised in 1807 at Horsham Sussex. There is no sign of Matthew or Jane from this date and my great great grandfather was brought up as Francis Edward Elwood MITCHELL

How strange. I stay logged in all the time too and I can go backwards and forwards to the old & new search. Maybe it will work if you log out and then log back in again

On the new set up if you highlight Search then over on the right there is a link to Old Search

Thanks Andrew for that. I can't find someone that I know was born in 1958 and only lives a day but I guess that they should have been recorded in both cases. I'll try searching deaths.

I still want to try and get back to the old Ancestry though.

Now that ancestry have all births transcribed the old quarterly lists have been removed.

C Cleaner took out my passwords and I had to re log on to various sites. I am stuck in the new format of Ancestry and want to search using the old way. I need to trawl through the pages of births of a certain year and don't seem to be able to find them now.

Any ideas
