I am relatively new to GR and I find that when I copy an entry from another person's tree I am unable to copy the accompanying notes.
Can anyone help me to get around this problem, please?
Thanks in advance.

You're quite right. When using GR's copy function to copy a person from one tree to the next it never use to copy the notes or the marriage details.
However, to copy the text, if you highlight the text and press and hold the alt key, then press E, then C you can copy the text. You then have to paste it into your tree by holding the alt key again and pressing E, then P. Not so tricky when you've done it a few times!

Might also be an idea to check with the owner of the tree that it is ok for you to copy their notes first!

The alternarive to Alt-E-C is just ctrl-C for copy and ctrl-v for paste. If it's your text, like in your document, you can also use ctrl-x for cut (a sort of copy and delete operation) which you can also follow with ctrl-v.
