Hi everyone,

I am trying to find details of my Father and his second wife who emigrated from Tilbury England to Melbourne Victoria in 1957 together with their daughter. Their details are:

George Edward Salmon b. 1909 in Shepherd's Bush England
Kathleen H nee Butlin b. 1920 in Portsmouth England
Barbara A b. 1948 in Ealing London England

Other than those details I know nothing further and do not know how to go about tracing their whereabouts from 1957 onwards. If you could help me in any way or point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Betty - the 'Springvale Botanical Cemetery' (Melb) has this: George Edward Salmon d 21/12/89 age 81yrs and Kathleen Hilda Salmon d 10/10/97 77yr (b12/1/20) They were cremated. The 'Victoria State Library' has an 'Ask Us' Librarian service (on-line) -they will check newspaper death notices for family names etc. They also check electoral rolls - but Barbara probably married - maybe the funeral parlour will have her married name & address. ....Valerie (WA)

I live not far from Springvale Cem/Crematorium in Melbourne.

Just to add.......you can search on-line Surname/Forename"Deceased Enquiries" for Springvale Cem.
