Here is some more info on pre 1841 census records.
Some time ago i did find a lot of these records relating to norfolk which were quite infomative. Perhaps if you "google" the place you are looking for you may find something

Can anyone tell me where I can find the Census returns for years before 1841,I have heard there are some but only a roll call type.
At this stage anything that will help me I will try.Many Thanks .Sue
