Hi,
We have now managed to locate what we believe to be the half brother of my mums, Mum was adopted, her adoptive parents are now deseased as is her birth mum. I have contacted our local social services to see if they can help with some kind of introduction, they can but have a 2 year waiting list!
are there any other organisations who provide this service ( for little or no fee). we have all the documentation to show who Mum is and how she is related to this other person so in effect a lot of the hard work has been done!!
any suggestions gratefully received
Thanks
Julia

You obviously need a third party to test the waters. How about asking at the CAB?
