Are there such a thing for changes of name and if so, where do I find them?

I have a case of not being able to prove that my own father IS my own father! I was born as a Stuart and my father gave his own name as a Stuart on my birth certificate, yet he was registered at birth as a Sliwowski. His family name was changed by deedpoll around 1960.

I now would like to access the WW2 records of my great grandfather, who was a Sliwowski, but can only do that by proving I am his descendant through official documentation. Yet can't actually prove my father is my father!

Did he live in Hindhead? If so, it's listed in the London Gazette which is searchable online. It was actually in 1963.

Glad you found it - hope they'll accept it as proof - should do, I think.
