Your thoughts please. I have received my 2 x great grandfather's death certificate. In the column for date and place of death is one address - Bradford - and in the column of occupation is another address - Pudsey - and "formally a railway porter" Do I take this to mean he died in Bradford but lived in Pudsey where I would have expected him to live?

Maybe he died in Bradford but worked in Pudsey? Or could it be that Pudsey should have been given as the informant's address but the registrar wrote it in the wrong box?

That's what I would think, ....Pudsey usual address, but place of death in Bradford.

Did he die in a hospital? Perhaps that's the Bradford address?

My apologies for not anwering sooner. Silly me, Rose. I never thought of the Bradford address being a hospital or that the Pudsey address was where he worked. I would have expected the family to be in Pudsey as that's where my great grandmother, grandmother and mother were born but, of course, that doesn't mean that he stayed in the same area. Thanks for your replies - I'll try and find out if the Bradford address was a hospital.
