Can anyone help me with research in Peru? Who do I contact for certificates etc? Sadly I have no Spanish!!

Google is your friend, try typing, "peruvian family history" into it, lots of results including what I think it is your looking for.

If you are looking for the Bear family; i know Paddington was from Peru. I have a book somewhere; I'll dig it out.

Joan I will bear your comments in mind.
Thanks Ron I will Try Google (I tried everything else.. managed to miss them),
Ann I did get one hit from the LDS site but I already knew the information it contained.
The chap in question is John Montgomery who married Joyce Banks in 1939 (have ordered that cert) they had a daughter, Celia. John then returned to Peru and was subsequently divorced.
That is about it so any help is much appreciated
