Yesterday I contacted someone and unticked the box first as I usually do in case I forget but when I started writing the message the tick kept appearing again every time I wrote so beware and check before you send.

Mind you, if you do what I've done a couple of times and forget to untick that box, you can immediately go to your sent messages and correct the error by stopping access to your tree.

I agree with Paul. It would be so much better if GR listened to it's subscribers.

The tick was always the other way round until a few years ago when, during an update, GR decided in their wisdom to reverse it. People have asked many times to have it back the other was but they don't seem to listen or realise what a pain it is.

Hello Hazel,
Yes you have to untick the box. Why GR will not reverse it so you have to tick the bock to give access and not have to remember to untick it beggars belief.

with , do you un tick the box, so that you dont give them access to your tree, as at the moment i dont want to open up my tree to them until i know if we are related. (Hazelx
