Hazel I am wondering about these two ? may be that they put down wife in married name?

also there is this marriage, but the wife's name is missing (on Ancestry)

My gt grandparents say they were married for many years on 1911 census but actually married in 1914


Have you found the couple on 1901 census?

If not could you post the details of the 1911 census - children etc so they can be traced back

Hi I am trying to find information out about my nan, the details we have so far and that are correct are as follows:

Emily French (nee Gay), born in St Giles - on the 1911 Cenus it confirms her as being 43 years old and has been married to Charles French for 23 years, however we cannot find either her birth or marriage details.

Can anyone suggest any ideas on how to progress with this we have searched BMD and don't seem to be able to find her.
