Alan

Although the family is listed in the 1901 census, as you say, their son Charles is not with them. In the absence of a registered death then presumably he was still alive at this time. There is however a Charles Sandy or Sandry listed as a scholar and inmate in a nearby workhouse in Chiswick c1890. This may not be your Charles at all although there does not appear to be a Charles Sandy or Sandry in the 1891 census.

I have found my Uncle in the 1891 census aged 1 but he is not listed in the 1901 census. According to family members he died from Smallpox, but I cannot find any records of his death, on Ancestry or Findmypast, is there anywhere else I can look. I presume the entry will still come under Marylebone.
The parents are:

Charles Saunders aged 31
Mary Saunders aged 30
Charles Saunders aged 1
living at 17 Henry St. St Johns Wood

Any held would be appreciated. Thank you Cynthia
